WARDOGS Season 2 Weapons Tier List: Every Gun Ranked After the Nerf

Update 0.2.0 went live on October 15, 2026, and it quietly made half your muscle memory wrong. This WARDOGS Season 2 weapons tier list is built from the patch notes rather than the October 9 trailer, because BULKHEAD cut base damage on four calibers at once and that one change reshuffles the whole roster. If you would rather skip the grind and jump straight to the unlocks, G4MMO is where you can buy WARDOGS boost services.

You still want to know which gun deserves that cash, and the answer is not the one Season 1 taught you.

What Changed in the WARDOGS Season 2 Weapons Tier List

Four calibers lost base damage, and it applies to every weapon that fires them, vehicle guns included.

Caliber

Base damage change

.308 Winchester

-25%

7.62x54mmR

-20%

7.62x39mm

-19%

.50 Cal

-16%

The follow-on changes matter as much as the numbers. Sniper rifles got increased hit-location damage to stay the big single-shot class. DMR headshots and upper-body hits got slightly weaker, which parks DMRs between assault rifles and snipers. Assault rifle torso damage is now consistent, which makes body shots predictable. LMG body damage now matches assault rifles, so belt size is the reason to carry one, not damage per bullet.

Armor moved too: Level 3 dropped from 55% to 50% damage reduction, and Level 4 from 65% to 60%. Suppression was rebuilt around shared falloff curves, and near-miss suppression from small and medium calibers is considerably stronger. Level 3 helmets cut suppression by 68%, Level 4 by 80%.

S-Tier: The Guns That Still Just Work

The top of this WARDOGS Season 2 weapons tier list is boring, and that is the point. The M4 at $2,800 and Assault 20 is the safest purchase in the game. Nothing in Update 0.2.0 touched it, and the FAL was pulled down toward it.

The SVD wins the sniper shakeup without being a sniper. It is semi-auto, unlocks at Recon 12, and now owns the space between a rifle and a bolt action. The AMP-9 at $900 needs no unlock and fires at 900 RPM, making it the best value in the game. The new TCX-SPR belongs here too, since it fires 7.62x39mm and took the smallest nerf.

A-Tier: Strong, With One Catch Each

A-tier in this WARDOGS Season 2 weapons tier list means strong with one catch each. The FAL did not become bad. It still has the highest damage per shot in the assault rifle class, at $6,500. What changed is the gap: it used to be a free win, and now the M4 sits within reach of it. Buy it for the feel, not because the numbers carry you.

The AK74 dropped from $1,600 to $800, the quiet buff of this patch. The T-21 is still $600 and still one of the best early buys. The M249 SAW and the PKM lost their damage edge over assault rifles, so treat them as suppression tools: park them, hold an angle, let the belt work. The PKM also unlocks earlier, at Support 15 instead of 30. The new M14 marksman rifle lands here. It fires .308, so it took the full 25% cut, but DMR hit-location damage was rebalanced around that. It unlocks at Recon 25 for about $7,400.

B-Tier: Fine, Just Not First

The MP43 at $400 is still the cheapest way to delete someone in a doorway, and the MP5 is solid even though the AMP-9 outclasses it for less money. The new PP-19 Bizon is a 9x19mm SMG for tight fights, but it has to justify its price next to the AMP-9 and right now it does not. The SKS is a good first marksman rifle that the SVD replaces. The bolt actions sit here on the WARDOGS Season 2 weapons tier list now: the Mosin Nagant, SV98 and MK22 all still work, and sniper hit-location damage went up, but a bolt action only pays off if you land heads. The AMR 50 is still the heaviest hitter on the roster, and the .50 Cal cut was the smallest, but the weight costs you mobility.

C-Tier: Only If You Have Nothing Better

The Scout Rifle TD is a Recon trainer, not a weapon. The Compound Bow got a shorter arrow drop-off and hits low-tier armor harder, so it is a real stealth pick, but arrows cap its ceiling. The Judge and the M1911 are situational. The launchers are the clearest losers in this WARDOGS Season 2 weapons tier list: the RPG-7 and MAAWS only earn their slot when there is armor to kill, and the MGL-40 lost a quarter of its muzzle velocity.

New Season 2 Weapons and Where They Land

Four firearms arrived with the season, plus a Molotov. BULKHEAD's October 9 preview called the rifle the TCX Spear, and the patch notes call it the TCX-SPR. The M14 is the new DMR, the PP-19 Bizon is the new SMG, and the Evo-3 Ultra is the new LMG.

None of them rewrite the top of the WARDOGS Season 2 weapons tier list, but the Evo-3 Ultra is the interesting one. It fires .308, which took the hardest hit, and LMG body damage now equals assault rifles, so it inherits the PKM's problem. It wins by suppression and belt size, never by damage per bullet. Buy it if your squad actually holds ground.

WARDOGS Season 2 Weapons Tier List FAQ

Is this WARDOGS Season 2 weapons tier list official?

No. BULKHEAD publishes no weapon stat pages and no time-to-kill data, so no public list can be verified at that level. This one is built from the official Update 0.2.0 patch notes and in-game vendor prices.

Which gun should I buy first?

The T-21 at $600, the Galil at $2,200 once you hit Assault 10, and the AMP-9 at $900 for cheap close-range work. None were touched by the caliber nerfs.

Did the FAL get nerfed?

Indirectly. Its numbers barely moved, but the rifles around it came closer, so its edge shrank. It is still the hardest hitting assault rifle per shot.

Are the new weapons better than the old ones?

Not automatically. The TCX-SPR is a genuine S-tier addition, but a marksman rifle does not replace your SMG and an LMG does not replace a rifle.

The WARDOGS Season 2 Weapons Tier List: Bottom Line

This WARDOGS Season 2 weapons tier list rewards players who buy boring guns. The M4, the Galil, the AK74 and the AMP-9 survived Update 0.2.0 untouched, cost less than the flashy options, and do not punish you when a fight moves out of your range. Build around those, keep one specialist for the situation you actually run into, and let the players still clinging to the old high-caliber meta fund your next kit.
