The Big Reveal: ESO Direct 2025

Mark your calendars for April 10 at 3 PM ET, when ESO Direct 2025 will officially unveil Update 46. Studio Head Matt Firor and the development team will provide insights into the new quests, zones, and changes coming to ESO this year. Expect exciting revelations about the game’s evolving storyline and additional gameplay features. 

New DLC: “Punished Dumac: A Dwemer’s Revenge”

One of the most intriguing rumors surrounding Update 46 is the DLC “Punished Dumac: A Dwemer’s Revenge.” This expansion reportedly follows the story of King Dumac, the Dwemer ruler who survived his race’s disappearance. According to speculation, Dumac has devised powerful Dwemer devices that caused the downfall of Nerevar, leading to a long-awaited revenge plot against the Chimer/Dunmer. This DLC could bring new Dwemer-themed dungeons, weapons, and armor to the game. 

A Mysterious New Zone

Leaked images suggest that a new zone will be introduced, featuring High Elf architecture now inhabited by Argonians. This hints at a location once controlled by the High Elves, later abandoned and occupied by Argonian settlers. The zone is also rumored to include a challenging 12-player raid filled with powerful monsters, bosses, and exclusive High Elf-themed gear. 

Main Storyline: “Seasons of the Worm Cult”

Update 46 is expected to progress the ESO main storyline with “Seasons of the Worm Cult.” The infamous necromantic cult is returning, harnessing dark magic and the power of the dead. Players will embark on a thrilling journey to Eastmarch to uncover a hidden fortress, face off against a powerful necromancer, and travel to an uncharted island filled with ancient Argonian ruins that hold the key to defeating the cult. 

April 2025: A Month Full of Events

ESO players can look forward to a packed month of events in April, including:

• April 3-22: 11th Anniversary Event with exclusive in-game bonuses.

• April 3-23: Golden Pursuits featuring three Hero Sets.

• April 10: ESO Direct and Update 46 Prologue release.

• April 24-29: Special in-game bonus event.
